Turn your plushies into pilots at the Stuffed Animal Flight School

Enroll your stuffed animal in Flight School at the Florida Air Museum this summer. This event offers kids another imaginative way to develop an interest in aviation.

If your stuffed animal craves adventure and dreams of flying, be sure to enroll them in the Stuffed Animal Flight School at the Florida Air Museum. Enroll the stuffed animal you feel has what it takes to fly. Both you and your stuffed animal will attend a mandatory orientation.

After orientation, attendees will leave their adventurous animal with a team of experienced aviation professionals. The stuffed animals will spend the day learning what it takes to be a pilot. You can pick up your newly winged pilot stuffed animals the next afternoon.

This fun event will run Aug. 4-6 at the Florida Air Museum in Lakeland, Florida. The event is hosted by the Aerospace Center for Excellence, a non-profit dedicated to year-round STEM-related and aerospace education programs and summer camps. ACE was introduced at Sun ‘n’ Fun 2014 and is located on Expo Campus. The center hosts camps and outreach programs for over 30,000 students annually and offers educational support and fun events for all ages.

The Stuffed Animal Flight School is sponsored by Lakeland Linder International Airport, Piedmont Airlines and Visit Central Florida. Register for this free event to instill some imagination and wonder in the young aviator in your life. This Stuffed Animal Flight School might not help with the pilot shortage, but it could grow a lifelong passion for aviation in the child that sees their stuffed animal get its wings.
