Ross Aviation in Fresno, California is just one of five locations the company has certified as NATA Green Aviation Businesses.
Ross Aviation has achieved a sustainability milestone befitting of Earth Day with five of its locations being certified as NATA Green Aviation Businesses.
The five Ross Aviation locations include Fresno, California (KFAT), Lincoln, Nebraska (KLNK), Sarasota, Florida (KSRQ), Scottsdale, Arizona (KSDL), and White Plains, New York (KHPN).
As part of the certification, each FBO is required to estimate an annual carbon footprint. Ross Aviation will then purchase offsets to achieve carbon-neutral operations in 2021 for all five locations based on these estimates.
“We’re taking a holistic approach to sustainability,” said Brian Corbett, CEO of Ross Aviation. “We see it as important — not just to ensure our own facilities meet and, ins some cases exceed, all new standards — but also that we help our customers reach carbon neutrality with their flight operations as well.”
The certification is in accordance with NATA’s Sustainability Standards, offering FBOs and other aviation businesses a certification process for ways to lower their carbon footprint, including using environmentally friendly energy sources, reducing waste, and promoting a sustainable mindset.
The remaining fourteen FBOs in Ross Aviation’s network are expected to receive NATA certification by the end of the year.
Ross Aviation has been a key player in the push for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) access, offering a continuous supply of the fuel at its Thermal, California (KTRM) facility.
