Modern Aviation has taken another step closer to its goal of “develop(ing) a national network of FBOs,” as its CEO put it.
Continuing on an aggressive wave of FBO purchases, including a large deal involving a handful of New York FBOs from Sheltair, Modern Aviation’s buying spree continues.
The acquisition includes three Sacramento operations: Sacramento International Jet Center Incorporated (operating as Capitol Jet Center) at Sacramento International Airport (SMF), Mather Jet Center, Inc. at Mather Airport (MHR), and Patterson Aviation Company (operating as Executive Jet Center) at Sacramento Executive Airport (SAC).
Since their first acquisition in early 2018, Modern has grown to nine locations today, which includes two locations in New York pending airport approval. The three Sacramento locations will grow Modern Aviation’s portfolio to 12 FBO locations.
Last year the company also bought FBO locations in San Juan and Isla Grand.
” The opportunity to acquire SACjet’s three Sacramento FBOs and build upon their well-deserved reputation for client service is another important milestone in executing our strategy,” said Modern Aviation CEO Mark Carmen.
Modern said it plans to hire all of SACjet’s current operational employees
