Hilton Expands Footprint in Peru with Debut of Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores
Today, Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores, marking the company’s ninth hotel in Peru and fifth in the city of Lima. Earlier this year, the company opened DoubleTree by Hilton Trujillo and later this year, plans to celebrate a milestone 10 hotels in the country with the upcoming opening of Hampton by Hilton Arequipa.
“Hilton is seizing the opportunity for growth in Peru. With three properties joining our portfolio and celebrating our 10th hotel milestone later this year, we are excited about the future of our presence in the country,” said Pablo Maturana, managing director, development, Caribbean and South America, Hilton. “In approximately five years, Hilton plans to have doubled its presence in Peru by adding an additional 10 hotels spanning Hilton’s portfolio of industry-leading brands. With great brands in great destinations, we are perfectly poised to cater to the diverse needs of travelers while also demonstrating Hilton’s solid capabilities for owners.”
Located in Lima’s upscale Miraflores district with nearby dining, shopping and entertainment, the 235-room, pet-friendly Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores features an 18th floor rooftop pool and bar, a 24-hour fitness center, and proximity to Playa Waikiki and Kennedy Park just one kilometer away. Incorporating Hilton Garden Inn’s region-specific design prototype, the hotel’s lobby and public area design features a blend of local materials, décor and color palate inspired by the destination and the hotel’s surroundings. The design inspiration continues in the hotel’s spacious guest rooms and suites, and its exterior where guests can view the city’s tallest mural – a special locally created exterior design piece adorning the side of the building.
The prototype also calls for a food and beverage program that reflects local flavors with traditional ingredients and dishes to create an authentic experience, which guests can enjoy at Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores’ signature restaurant, The Garden Grille. The hotel also offers a lobby bar, room service and The Shop, open 24 hours for on-the-go snacks and beverages. Guests requiring a space to conduct business or host a small event can choose from the hotel’s more than 400 square meters of flexible event space, including eight meeting rooms. Free parking is also available.
Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores joins Hilton’s portfolio of more than 180 hotels open and welcoming guests throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Hilton plans for continued growth in the region with a robust Caribbean and Latin America pipeline of nearly 110 hotels, with approximately 20 properties expected to open this year.
With today’s debut of Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores and the upcoming opening of Hampton by Hilton Arequipa, expected in late Q2 2022, Hilton will welcome guests at 10 hotels in Peru across four of Hilton’s industry-leading brands. With approximately 10 more hotels in the pipeline, Hilton plans to continue its growth in the country by expanding its presence in both existing and new markets such as Lima, Tarapoto and Ica, among others, as well as introducing new brands including Homewood Suites by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton, both expected to debut in Lima.
This growth not only offers choice for Hilton’s guests, but also helps drive opportunities for Hilton team members. Earlier this year, Hilton was recognized with a first-place ranking as a 2022 best workplace in the country by Great Place to Work® Peru.
