Embraer brings over 150 jobs to Florida facility

Aircraft manufacturer Embraer is now hiring for more than 150 open positions at its Melbourne, Florida, facility. Open positions include Assembly Technicians, A&P technicians, Aircraft Painters, Quality Inspectors and Manufacturing Engineers.

The Melbourne facility serves as the company’s headquarters for its Executive Jets unit. Opened in 2011, the facility is home to the Phenom 100EV and Phenom 300E assembly lines.

Employees also work on the final assembly of the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 mid-size jets. Additionally, the 67-acre campus features a 58,000-square-foot Global Customer Center and Engineering and Technology Center.

“Our company is growing at a remarkable pace and we are now looking to expand our talent search — not only in Brevard, but throughout the entire state,” said Darrel Stern, Head of Talent Acquisition & Campus Programs Manager, Embraer North America. “As we experience this growth, this is an opportunity to work for a company that is passionate about stretching the boundaries of what is possible and integrates different cultures into a global environment.”

Last year, Embraer delivered 93 private jets and the company as a whole ended the fourth quarter with its highest quarter backlog since the second quarter of 2018.

Embraer’s Phenom 300 series — which is assembled in Melbourne — was named the world’s best-selling light jet for the 10th consecutive year and the most delivered twinjet of 2021.
