VIP Completions has unveiled its largest project to date: a Boeing 767 with a refurbished interior, which has been delivered to its long-awaiting owner, John Ruiz.
The aircraft seats 33 and comfortably sleeps 16 passengers. The floorplan features six living areas and four lavatories, two with full stand-up showers. The main lounge will be the centerpiece, complete with an 80-inch home cinema, DJ station, and full dining table.
“This was the biggest project in our company’s history,” said Ben Shirazi, President of VIP Completions. “It involved hundreds of technical and aesthetic choices that came together to create something as unique as John’s character and life story.”
The overall feel of the 767 interior is “bright and modern,” featuring cabin accessories and soft goods sourced from premium luxury brands including Loro Piana and Garrett Leather. The project also used ‘hydro dipping’, a process to paint/veneer woodwork and cabinetry.
“This project is the realization of my dream to create a unique and private aircraft for business, pleasure and family travel,” said Ruiz. “Truly a flying home, it mirrors our tastes and preferences, including my love of entertaining.”
This is the fourth project that VIP Completions has delivered to Ruiz, previously refurbishing a Gulfstream IV/SP, Cessna Citation X, and a Gulfstream G550. The refurbishment of a fifth project for Ruiz – a Sikorsky S-92A – is currently underway.
