McCauley’s new C780 prop for King Air B300 series receives FAA certification

McCauley Propeller Systems announced Thursday its new C780 propeller for the Beechcraft King Air B300 series has achieved FAA certification. The new prop features four aluminum swept blades and a 105-inch diameter.

The propeller brings King Air B300 operators and owners an increase in payload, improved takeoff and climb performance, noise reduction in the cabin and cockpit and a greater time between overhauls. The new prop brings with it a weight savings of over 50 pounds.

McCauley Propeller Systems is a division of Textron Aviation. As a product made by a part of the Textron family, the prop includes 4,000 hours of a 36-month limited propeller warranty. King Air B300 owners can have the new propeller installed at a Textron Aviation Service Center or an authorized McCauley Service Facility. There are no modifications required to install the new prop.

“The McCauley C780 is a new, lightweight, scimitar blade design propeller that enhances the already legendary King Air flying experience,” said Heidi McNary, vice president and general manager, of McCauley Propeller Systems. “We’re proud to continue to offer customers the quality and craftsmanship that aviators have come to expect from McCauley over the past 85 years.”
