Honda announces first certified pre-owned program for HondaJet
Honda Aircraft Company announced Thursday it was now offering its first Certified Pre-Owned program to provide an exclusive, alternative way to own a HondaJet with a promise to provide quality and support.
As the only CPO in its class, every HondaJet CPO goes through a judicious selection, meticulous inspection and expert maintenance processes to guarantee it will meet Honda’s standards for quality, safety and performance before receiving the CPO designation. The program will provide end-to-end services including ease of entry-into-service to post-sales support, with the support of Honda and its authorized sales network.
Every Honda CPO is required to pass a rigorous 208-point standard inspection conducted by Honda-trained technicians throughout the authorized service network. The test is required to ensure Honda is providing customers with confidence and peace of mind in their aircraft and purchase. All aircraft that qualify for the program will be upgraded to the highest performance level for each model based on applicable service bulletins. CPO buyers will also have the option to receive a FlightSafety Initial Pilot Training session and a six-month or 100-hour credit, provided by Honda, to be applied toward the cost associated with the Airframe Flight Ready Performance program.

The CPO program will enable direct collaborations with the company’s knowledgeable team of factory-employed sales professionals who are product experts on the HondaJet and light jet market. There is evident commitment from the start of the ownership experience, reflecting Honda’s dedication to customer satisfaction through the entire ownership process and lifecycle.
“As demand for the HondaJet continues to rise, pre-owned aircraft have become an increasingly important entry point into the HondaJet community,” Honda Aircraft Company CCO Amod Kelkar said.
The HondaJet global fleet has amassed over 185,000 flight hours and has grown to over 230 aircraft worldwide. Honda remains committed to the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction. The new program is now available to customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia through Honda’s authorized sales network. Customers have access to both certified and non-certified pre-owned HondJet inventory on the company website.
Honda recently announced plans to commercialize a new light jet, the HondaJet 2600 concept. This jet represents a new product line for the company, alongside the existing HondaJet Elite II. The new jet will have unparalleled fuel efficiency, up to 20 percent improvement from typical light jets and 40 percent from medium-size jets during normal operations.
The new CPO program is another step Honda has made to ensure its customers are happy and its service is top-of-the-line.
“The CPO program extends our commitment to excellence to all aspects of the long-term ownership experience and ensures that all HondaJet owners, both current and future, will have the best ownership experience and peace of mind, regardless of their position in the ownership journey.”
