First Dassault Falcon 6X flight simulator to land at training center
CAE is set to deploy the first 7000XR Series Dassault Falcon 6X full-flight simulator at its Burgess Hill training center in the United Kingdom.
“The Falcon 6X training program is a significant step forward in terms of technology and training experience,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation. “Pilots will be able to fully immerse themselves in their training with expert instructors, digitally-interactive classrooms, and the most advanced full-flight simulators.”
Dassault Aviation CEO Éric Trappier spoke Monday at EBACE on the company’s two new aircraft simultaneously in development.
The Falcon 6X is progressing through its certification program and has cleared the majority of its major flight trials. EASA certification is currently underway for the extra-wide body aircraft, which performed its first flight last year.
However, Trappier pointed to supply chain issues that are now impacting the Falcon 6X’s development and manufacturing timetables.
“Our anticipated year-end 2022 target for the entry into service of the aircraft is shifting, and is now forecast for mid-year 2023,” noted Trappier.

CAE’s Falcon 6X training program will allow pilots the gain the knowledge and skills needed to fly the 6X when it enters service. Additionally, a Falcon 8X full-flight simulator will also be ready for training at Burgess Hill later this year.
